Personal Habit Tracker
A field-notebook style habit and metric tracker with weighted daily scoring, right in your browser side panel.
Personal Habit Tracker: build better days, one honest entry at a time.
Your data never leaves your computer. Ever.
Everything you log is stored locally on your PC, in Chrome's own storage, not on a server, not in "the cloud," not shared with anyone, not even with us. There's no account, no sign-up, no sync, no analytics, no tracking. If you value your privacy, this is the habit tracker for you.
A field-notebook style habit and metric tracker that lives right in your browser's side panel. No sign-up, no cloud, no noise, just you, your habits, and a clear picture of how your days actually go.
Whether you're building a new routine or just want an honest daily record, Personal Habit Tracker keeps it simple, private, and genuinely yours.
Habit apps ask for too much.
Most habit trackers live on a phone, need a separate login, and demand daily attention just to open them. People stop using them within a week.
Meet people where they already are.
We put the tracker one click away in the browser's own side panel, so it opens alongside whatever you're already doing instead of pulling you into a separate app.
Built to disappear into your routine.
Track habits your way
Log daily yes/no habits (reading, exercise, meditation, anything) and set their importance so the ones that matter most count the most.
Track real numbers too
Sleep hours, weight, steps, water intake, whatever you measure. Add custom metrics with your own units and watch the trend lines build over time.
One honest daily score
Habits and metrics combine into a single weighted daily score, so you can see at a glance whether today was a win. No spreadsheets, no math.
Mood + moments
Log your mood in one click and jot a quick note about your day. Small entries add up to the full story of your month.
Charts that actually help
A mood breakdown, a daily score chart, and per-metric trend lines, all built in, all updating as you log.
Monthly to-do & focus notes
A simple space for this month's to-do list and what you want to carry into next month.
100% local, nothing in the cloud
Every entry stays on your device in Chrome's local storage. No account, no server, no analytics, no tracking. Export your data to JSON anytime for backup or safekeeping, it's always yours.
Make it yours
Light or dark theme, adjustable text size, and a privacy toggle that blurs your notes instantly if someone glances at your screen.
Built-in help
A Help & About panel with FAQs answers the "how do I..." questions right inside the extension.
Common questions.
Is my habit data private?
Yes. Everything is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. Nothing is ever uploaded to a server, and there's no account or login.
What's the difference between a habit and a metric?
Habits are simple yes or no check-ins for the day. Metrics are numbers you log daily, like weight or hours slept. Both count toward your daily score.
How is the daily score calculated?
Each habit and metric has an importance weight you set yourself: low, medium, or high. Your daily score is the percentage of that weighted total you actually completed or logged.
Does mood tracking affect my score?
No. Mood is tracked separately as a quick happy, neutral, or sad tag for the day, so you can see how it trends alongside your habits without it skewing your completion score.
Can I back up or move my data?
Yes. You can export your full history to a JSON file at any time, and import it back in, including onto a different device, whenever you like.
Does it sync across devices automatically?
Not automatically. Data is stored locally per browser profile by design, for speed and privacy. Manual export and import is the current way to move data between machines.
What permissions does the extension need?
Just two: storage, to save your entries on your device, and sidePanel, to display the tracker. It doesn't request access to your tabs, browsing history, or any website content.
